Spanish luxury house Loewe has opened a boutique at Scottsdale Fashion Square that doubles as a small art gallery.
The store, built around Loewe's CASA LOEWE retail concept, carries the brand's full lineup of men's and women's ready-to-wear, bags, small leather goods, shoes, eyewear, accessories and home scents, according to Modern Luxury.
What sets the space apart is its art. Anthea Hamilton's large-scale mixed-media sculpture, "Spiral Staircase," anchors the store with a sense of movement. Mahesh Baliga's "London Zoo" offers a quieter counterpoint.
A 1975 graphite-and-colored-pencil study by American ceramicist Ken Price and six glazed ceramic works by South African artist Hylton Nel round out the collection.
The design nods to Arizona without leaning on Southwestern clichés. Handcrafted ceramic tiles in green, pale brown and blue reference the surrounding landscape. Rugs by textile artist and longtime Loewe collaborator John Allen layer in yellow, green, ochre and blue compositions.
Collectible furniture fills the floor. A Gerrit Thomas Rietveld Utrecht armchair and a George Nakashima Mira chair sit alongside black iron Martini tables, a handcrafted leather Puffer bench and surfaces in wood and marble.
The opening arrives at a transitional moment for the 180-year-old brand. Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez, Loewe's creative directors and the founders of Proenza Schouler, were appointed in March 2025, according to TheFashionDB.
The pair debuted their first Loewe collection for spring/summer 2026. Their fall/winter 2026 line builds on that foundation with sculptural silhouettes, experimental leather and shearling, and a sportswear influence, Modern Luxury reported. New accessories include the Whisker bag alongside updated versions of Loewe signatures like the Amazona 180, Puzzle and Flamenco.
Loewe joins a deepening luxury bench at Scottsdale Fashion Square. Hermès opened its first Arizona boutique at the mall on Sept. 12, 2025, according to ScottsdaleSpot. Los Angeles-based label Amiri also opened a 2,627-square-foot store at the center, FashionNetwork reported in October.
The mall's owner, Macerich, has been redesigning the Palm Court area with raised ceilings, improved sightlines and enhanced storefront visibility, WWD reported in May. Miller Capital Advisory, which manages the property, told WWD in December 2025 that it had made "massive investments" in Scottsdale Fashion Square and converted the corridor between Neiman Marcus and Macy's to nearly all luxury retailers, adding brands like Dior and Balenciaga.
Chanel is also expected to open at the center, according to that report.
Scottsdale Fashion Square spans more than 2 million square feet and houses more than 200 stores, according to ScottsdaleSpot. Loewe's CASA LOEWE concept treats the boutique as part showroom, part living space, where a handbag shares sightlines with a Nakashima chair or a Hamilton sculpture.
